The Queensland LNP government has announced the most significant infrastructure upgrade to Lang Park in 23 years. What does the Lang Park upgrade include?
The planned upgrades to the 52,500-seat stadium focus on modernizing the spectator experience and expanding operational capabilities. Key features include supersized scoreboards and a 360-degree wraparound LED ribbon board suspended from the roof. The venue will also receive two tennis court-sized media mesh screens. Structural changes involve new terraced areas behind the goals at both ends of the stadium, alongside new entertainment zones with standing areas within the seating bowl and concourse. Design work has already commenced, drawing inspiration from contemporary global stadiums.
