Australian Home Brand Anko Announces Fourth Store in Strategic Asian Expansion

Australian home and lifestyle retailer Anko is strengthening its presence in the Philippines with the announcement of its fourth store opening in October at Ayala Malls Manila Bay-Parañaque, marking another milestone in the company's international growth strategy.

The expansion follows the successful launch of what Australian businesses increasingly recognize as a promising market for retail growth in Southeast Asia.

Strategic Timing and Store Details

The new 1,465.20-square-meter store is strategically timed to capture holiday season shopping, featuring an extensive range of Christmas decorations and gift items. Anko Philippines country manager Rachel Turner emphasized the convenience factor for Metro Manila residents, noting the store's proximity to their existing Alabang Town Center branch.

"We have so much in store for the holiday season and we can't wait for our customers to explore it all. We're proud to continue offering our products at consistently low prices," Turner stated.

Expansion Trajectory and Market Presence

The retailer, which has shown remarkable growth similar to other Australian success stories in international markets, currently operates stores in prime locations including:

  • Glorietta 2, Makati City
  • Alabang Town Center
  • TriNoma Mall, Quezon City

Australian Retail Innovation

Established in 2017, Anko operates under the Kmart Group, a subsidiary of Wesfarmers Ltd., demonstrating Australia's growing cultural and commercial influence in the Asia-Pacific region. The brand has built its reputation on offering affordable homewares, toys, beauty, and travel products.
